22nd September 2007 (Saturday) - Beta Fish

Had gone to Pasir Ris Farmway to check out the Beta Fish. Also visited the dog farms to take a look at doggies. We saw a very cute Chow Chow, only 3 months old. It walks extremely slowly, probably because of his body weight. It also stands up to pee pee (like the surrender position). HaHaHa.

Bought 2 more Beta Fish.

Here are my Beta Fishes. Named after the Honda Cars that we own.

Integra (Our Current Ride)

EG6 (Our 1st Ride)

SIR (Our 2nd Ride)

In Memory of one of our Beta Fish which had passed on : Evolution

Went home after that and proceed to NTU at Boon Lay. I remembered that there is a Sea Almond Tree over at NTU when I was there for Gary's Convocation. Gone there to pick some leaves for our Betas. Then went to eat Bak Ku Teh at Jurong East Ave 1. See other blog (http://ieatieatieat.blogspot.com) for details and pics.

Proceeded to IMM to jalan after makan. Bought a new dish drainer from Song Cho. Abit expensive though but it comes with lifetime warranty against rust.

21st September 2007 - The One with Dinner at Central

LilypieExpecting a baby Ticker

School as usual in the morning. Had proceeded to Orchard for a food spa at True Spa. So relaxing for my aching feet.

Had popped over to Dac's office and we went to Central for dinner. We had originally decided on Ramen which was recommended by Garrick but when we saw another Japanese Restaurant - Waruki, we decided to try that out first. It was not a wrong choice made. We even signed up for their in-house discount card on the spot.

After dinner, we had a romantic stroll along Clark Quay with all the lantern displays as background.

Mummy's Reflections

Had not felt that the baby was real when i first know that I am pregnant. Had not even thought that i may be pregnant but i had felt soreness in my breasts. The soreness was something unusual and it lasted for quite a while. I had bugged Dac to buy me a pregnancy kit.

Had gone to the Gynae the next day and I am confirmed to be 5 weeks pregnant. Nearly shed a tear when i saw the tiny living thing in my tummy during the ultrasound. There is a baby forming inside me.

But the thought did not finally sank in until about the 3rd month. Had experienced the baby doing somersaults in my tummy during my facial. Said that he was naughty and he stopped for a while and started his somersaults again. Earlier movements that he made felt like waves in the stomach and I thought that I was just feeling hungry. But the "rumbles"occurred when I am feeling full too. Then I realised that Baby must be playing in Mummy's tummy.

Baby is Mummy's Dearest. Mummy Loves Baby!!! Baby Loves Mummy Too!!!

12th September 2007 - Facial

Scheduled to have facial at Aunty Dora's today. Complexion had not been very good since i am pregnant. Aunty Dora had a hard time cleaning my face. While Aunty Dora was cleaning my face, baby was not very cooperative. I think i can feel him somersaulting in my tummy, not once but a few times. Then i said : "Baby, very naughty!" Guess what, he stopped for a while and started his somersaulting again.
Hee Hee.

LilypieExpecting a baby Ticker

This is the day which Dac and I are looking forward to. Especially so for Dac. He seems very excited about today. He told me that he was really looking forward to today when we were over at Penang.

Baby : Must open your legs wide, wide so that Daddy and Mummy can see very clearly and we can start buying more clothes and stuff for you!!!

Will update more after my Gynae visit. Stay tuned!!!

The result is out. Can u see the gender from the ultrasound scan?? Make a guess!!

IT IS A BOY BOY!!! HE IS DARREN JUNIOR!!!

Can you see the "Chi Ku Teng"?? Baby was quite mischievous during the scan. He kept moving and refused to let the nurse get a good scan of him. He actually "kiaw kah" (crossed legs) during the scan.
Now Daddy and Mummy knows what to get for you.

Estimated weight : 397g.

Here are more pics of Baby's scan.

6th September 2007 (Friday)

Gary sent daddy, mummy, Dac and I to Golden Mile to catch our 10 hour bus ride to Penang. We had upgraded to a 18 seater bus and the seats were much bigger and much more comfortable. We even have our own mini TV to watch various English and Chinese movies.

We set off at 9.30pm and we stopped over at Yong Peng for a short while and continued our journey to Penang. We finally reached Penang at 7.30am on 7th September. We had transport to our CityBay Hotel in Penang. We were in luck and we were allowed to check in as there were rooms available.

We dumped our bags and off we went to explore Penang. We decided to rent a car to explore Penang. Our first stop was to try the most famous Prawn Noddles in Penang. We reached the coffeeshop at about 10am and to our horror, the stall had ran out of noodles. What a disappointment. We ordered other stuff for breakfast. Daddy was lucky, he asked if there was a bowl available and the lady kindly offered us a bowl. Delicious noodles.

Pictures of the food and the addresses of the places where we ate in Penang can be viewed at my other blog, http://ieatieatieat.blogspot.com/

We tried ABC - Ice Kachang next. We then proceeded to Penang Hill after our heavy breakfast. We had to take a funicular train and changed to other train midway to get up to Penang Hill. It was much cooler at the top of the hill. We came back down after about 45 mins. It rained when we were getting down.

Next, we proceeded to Kek Lok Si (Temple of Supreme Bliss). It was raining and we skipped going up to see the Bronze Statue of Godness of Mercy. We ate Penang's most famous Penang Laksa at the stall near the Temple. Dac and I did not really fancy the laksa as we thought that the fishy smell and taste was too strong to our liking.

Then we drove to the Snake Temple. There were a few snakes crawling at the ceiling of the temple. Then we decided to head back to town. We stopped by the 2nd best Tau Siah Piah shop to get some Tau Siah Piah. We then headed for dinner at New Lane Hawker Junction. We had a feast. The chicken feet was very good.

We then head to Batu Ferringhi for some Pasar Malam shopping.

Next day, we went back to have Hokkien noddles in the morning and we manage to have one bowl for each of us. We then popped over to the Best Tau Siah Piah in town to get more boxes of Tau Siah Piah as gifts.

We went to KOMTAR next and we bought some rompers for Baby. We had also tried Penang's best Chendol on our way to KOMTAR. Dac took part in a Pomelo Peeling Contest at Prangin Mall and he came in FIRST!!!! Next, we went to eat Penang's best CKT at Loh Eng Hoo Coffee Shop. Each plate cost RM 7.50 with a few big and juicy prawns. We also had Ice Kacang there. We felt our cravings for the chicken feet we had yesterday and we walked back to the coffeeshop and ordered 2 plates of chicken feet to be shared among four of us. Very nice and delicious!!

We then went to Gurney Plaza and did some shopping and proceeded for dinner at Gurney Drive. Went back to the hotel after that.

The next day, we had walked to the famous Loh Bak at Cafe Kheng Pin. Mommy even packed some home to bring back to Singapore.

1st Sept 2007 (Saturday) - First Romper for Baby

Had gone to Wham! Burger at China Square for lunch. Had walked around the small shops over there. We came across a pushcart selling baby clothes. This is the place where we bought the first piece of romper for our baby.

Had popped over to Mercedes and test drove the new C-class. Dac did not really like the feel of the car and noted that it was not as responsive as he thought it would be.

Went to Takashimaya next for the Baby Fair. It was our 2nd trip there. We finally decided and bought the Medela Mini Electric Plus. It was on promotion and it was going for $269 with a Medela cooler bag.
